From São Paulo, Brazil, Rebecca Köhler is a violinist currently studying at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under Nathaniel Vallois. She has played with orchestras such as Les Siecles, Ex Cathedra and Hastings Philharmonic. As a soloist Rebecca has performed with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Strings Orchestra and Youth Orchestra of Bahia. She has performed in master classes with great violinists such as Lorenz Nasturica, Andreas Reiner and Gina McCormack. She is a holder of the Chris Hedge Award in Memory of Hannah Jones, BSM Centenary Appeal Fund Performance Award and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Trust Award. She also performs regularly as a baroque violin player, having worked with Lucy Russell, Adrian Butterfield and Jeffrey Skidmore.
